They also describe your use of patient sharing and replies involving Pharmela Pro, the separate pharmacist/doctor app. They do not set the terms for professionals’ own accounts or workspaces in Pharmela Pro.

Purpose and eligibility

Pharmela helps you look up medicine information, keep personal records and prepare information to discuss with a pharmacist or doctor. These terms explain the rules for using those features. If you do not accept them, do not use the account features. You can still read these terms and the Privacy Policy without an account or an app installation.

You must have the legal capacity or valid authorisation required to use the service. Only enter information you are entitled to provide. Where the law requires a parent’s, guardian’s or other representative’s authorisation, that authorisation is required before use.

Current eligibility limits: the service has not yet stated a product-specific minimum age or a dedicated arrangement for guardian-managed accounts. Contact us before using an account for a child or another person; do not assume that the app provides separate patient profiles or verifies your authority to act for someone else.

Pharmela is not an emergency service. Do not use messages, scheduled intakes or conclusions as a way to obtain urgent help. For urgent health concerns, contact appropriate medical services directly.

Your account

The patient app supports email sign-in links and email/password accounts. Use an email address you control and keep your profile information accurate. Keep passwords, sign-in links and sharing codes private, and sign out on shared devices.

Tell us if you suspect someone else is using your account. Do not impersonate another person or present an unverified professional role as a verified qualification. The current beta can use the same account identity for Pharmela: My Medicines and Pharmela Pro.

Accepting these terms does not replace a separate consent or permission required to process or share health information. The Privacy Policy explains how information is handled and how to exercise your rights.

Medicine information and barcode scanning

Product facts taken from official registers, including data from Bulgaria’s medicines agency (IAL), are distinct from Pharmela’s plain-language summaries and discussion prompts. Register facts may include a medicine’s name, active substance, strength, form, pack, authorisation holder and prescription status. Display formatting may differ from the source register.

Pharmela summaries are additional reference content, not official register text or an endorsement by a regulator. They may be prepared with AI assistance using medicine reference materials. Some products have register facts but no published summary. Information may be incomplete or out of date; check the pack, current leaflet and relevant official information, and ask a qualified professional when something is unclear.

Barcode scanning and manual code entry help find a catalogue record. A match does not authenticate a pack, confirm every pack detail or establish that the medicine is suitable for you. Check the result against the physical pack. Where exact pack details cannot be confirmed, the app may show a product-level result.

Where IAL sales notifications are displayed, they describe the published notification and its stated dates. They do not show stock in a particular pharmacy.

Catalogue text and automatic notices do not provide a diagnosis, prescription or personalised treatment decision. Do not start, stop or change treatment solely because of information displayed by Pharmela.

Your cabinet and health background

You can add medicines, supplements and manual entries to your cabinet, add or edit notes, and use the available controls to hide or remove entries. Hiding or removing a record is a display or record-management action; it is not an instruction to stop taking a medicine.

Health background lets you record diagnoses, allergies, past reactions with optional dates, and care-team contacts. These are records you supply, not facts verified by Pharmela. Keep them accurate, correct mistakes, and include another person’s contact details only when you are entitled to do so.

Where available, automatic notices identify possible shared active ingredients in the data the app has. They are not a complete interaction or treatment-safety check. Supplements, manual entries and medicines with missing ingredient data may not be checked. No match does not mean that a combination is safe.

Intake plans and records

You can create an intake schedule by entering a quantity, number of intakes, interval, start time and time zone, and record an intake as taken or missed. The schedule follows the instructions entered; Pharmela does not decide your dose or frequency.

Check the plan before confirming it and check the time zone when travelling or changing device settings. A record of a taken or missed intake is your entry, not confirmation that a medicine was actually taken. Do not rely on the schedule as a guaranteed alarm or a monitored care service.

You can delete scheduled intakes or a plan using the available controls. Recorded taken and missed history is retained. A pharmacist can view intake history and create or delete schedules only with your separate intake-management permission during an active share. Only you record taken and missed intakes.

Sharing and pharmacist access

Where sharing is enabled, you choose to create a code for a recipient using Pharmela Pro. The cabinet is included; you select any additional health-background sections to share. Review the selection before agreeing. An account alone does not give another person access to your cabinet.

An unused code expires after 15 minutes and can be claimed once. Access to the current shared information lasts up to 60 minutes after it is claimed, unless revoked sooner. Show the code only to your chosen recipient, preferably in person. Anyone who obtains a valid unused code may be able to claim it.

The sharing consent includes receiving the pharmacy’s response in the app. You can change that response permission separately. Intake management requires its own permission.

Opening a review can save a copy of the selected information in the receiving workspace. Authorised active workspace members may see that review. Revoking access or letting it expire does not erase a saved review, a sent conclusion or a copy already made by the recipient. The Privacy Policy explains the current retention limits.

Open beta: selecting a pharmacist role does not verify a participant’s professional qualification, and a workspace name does not establish a licensed pharmacy. Share with someone you know and choose to trust.

Consultations, conclusions and replies

Where enabled, Conclusions shows results explicitly sent to you, including pharmacist review reports and messages. Private review notes and unsent drafts are not part of your patient view. A conclusion relates to the information reviewed at that time; later cabinet changes can make it out of date.

You may mark a conclusion as read, reply when the conversation permits it, and record that you consulted a doctor where that option is offered. Recording a consultation is a statement supplied by you, not verification of an appointment or its outcome. This feature does not book a consultation.

Earlier conclusions or report versions can remain in the history. New replies may be unavailable when a review or sharing permission no longer permits them. Sending a message does not guarantee a response or a response time.

In the current open beta, feedback from an unverified participant is test feedback, not verified professional advice. Discuss health decisions directly with a qualified professional. A finding marked as reviewed does not establish that your entire medicine regimen is safe.

Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully and respect other people’s privacy and security. Do not:

  • Access another person’s account or records without permission, or misuse a sharing code.
  • Bypass access controls, probe accounts without authorisation, distribute malicious code or disrupt the service.
  • Submit deliberately false records, impersonate a patient or professional, or misrepresent qualifications.
  • Send harassment, spam or unlawful content, or disclose someone else’s health information without authority.
  • Copy or redistribute another person’s cabinet, review or messages beyond the permission given.

Report suspected misuse to our contact address. Include enough information to explain the issue, but do not send passwords, sign-in codes or unnecessary health details.

Your content and service materials

You retain any rights you have in the notes, records and messages you provide. You permit us to store, display and transmit that content only as needed to provide the features you use, follow your sharing choices and meet applicable legal obligations, as explained in the Privacy Policy. Providing content does not transfer its ownership to Pharmela.

Provide only material you have the right to use and share. Other people’s messages, official source material and Pharmela’s interface and explanatory content may have separate rights. Access to the service does not transfer those rights or give permission to disclose another person’s information.

Availability and responsibility

We aim to provide the service with reasonable care. Features may be unavailable during maintenance, errors or outages, and beta features may be enabled, changed or withdrawn. A feature described here applies when it is available to you; this page does not promise that every feature is enabled for every account.

Keep the medicine instructions and essential information you need available independently of Pharmela. Internet access, device permissions and external data sources can affect what is shown. Tell us about errors so they can be investigated.

These terms do not exclude liability or limit remedies where applicable law does not allow it. They do not remove mandatory consumer rights, rights concerning personal data, or a professional’s own obligations.

Suspension, termination and your data

You may stop using the service at any time. Use the in-app controls for the records they manage, and contact kalin@pharmela.com to request account closure or erasure of retained information.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address a security risk, unlawful activity or a serious breach of these terms, or to meet a legal obligation. Where reasonably possible and lawful, we will explain the reason and how to contact us to resolve it. Urgent protective action may need to happen first. Any restriction should be proportionate to its reason.

Signing out, uninstalling the app, suspending access or removing a cabinet entry does not automatically erase the account, event history, intake history or saved reviews. Whole-account deletion can affect both patient and professional roles where the identity is shared.

Retention and deletion remain subject to the Privacy Policy’s disclosed limits and your legal rights. A fixed retention schedule has not yet been finalised. These terms do not promise immediate or automatic erasure of all historical records or backups, and a technical limitation alone is not a lawful reason to refuse erasure.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms to reflect changes in the service or applicable requirements. We will show a new effective date and version on this page and provide appropriate notice of material changes. Where agreement is legally required, we will seek it before applying the relevant change. Publishing a new page does not itself provide consent for new uses of health information.

For questions about these terms, access to the service, errors or a complaint, contact kalin@pharmela.com or write to the company address in section 1. Please describe the issue without sending passwords or unnecessary medical information.
